Alloway and Standard Industries, Inc.

Matthew J. Breker is the Director of Global Sales and Business Development at Alloway and Standard Industries, Inc. located in Fargo, North Dakota and has been in this position since 2014.  Alloway is the farm equipment manufacturing division of Standard Industries Inc., a privately held custom metal fabrication manufacturer.  Alloway manufactures sugar beet defoliators and harvesters, shredders and windrow shredders, row crop cultivators, vegetable cultivators and bed preparation tools, and light seedbed tillage tools.  Alloway has sales throughout the United States and export sales into Canada, Australia, and the European Union.  Standard Industries manufactures a wide array of products from carbon steel and is the premier stainless steel fabricator in the region.

Prior to joining Alloway, Mr. Breker was the International Sales Manager at Seeds 2000, Inc., a sunflower seed company located in Breckenridge, Minnesota.  Seeds 2000, Inc. was acquired by Nuseed in 2011, which is the seed division Nufarm, a publicly traded crop protection company based in Melbourne, Australia.  The business development in Europe significantly increased sunflower planting seed sales by introducing and registering (2-3 years of government testing) new disease and herbicide tolerant sunflower hybrids in Russia, Ukraine, and the European Union.  Distributors and dealers were contracted to manage in country retail sales to farmers.  Credit insurance was utilized to reduce credit risking allowing for extend payment terms, which were required by the market to be competitive.

Mr. Breker earned a Masters of Science in Agribusiness and Applied Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University and an Associate of Arts from North Dakota State College of Science.

Mr. Breker resides in Oxbow, North Dakota.  He grew up on the family farm near Rutland, North Dakota where he continues to be involved in operations, and hunting and fishing excursions.  He maintains involvement in the Farm Equipment Manufacture’s Association and the North Dakota District Export Council.
